Our Mission

The Treasure Coast Jazz Society was founded in 1986 by Ash Andon, Harry Buck and Chubby Jackson. We are a not-for-profit organization formed to encourage the performance, promotion and preservation of JAZZ -- this unique American art form. Jazz has been recognized by the United States Congress as a "National Treasure."

Our Objectives

  •  To foster and expand a greater awareness of this great American art form by bringing the finest national and international jazz musicians to the Treasure Coast for our concerts.
  •  To encourage young musicians who will ultimately carry the jazz tradition to future generations. To do this, the Society donates significant financial scholarship aid to talented local high school jazz musicians for continued study at the college or university level.
  • To cooperate with other jazz-oriented groups, locally and nationally, to exchange information and assistance for the appreciation, growth and perpetuation of jazz music. Among the well-known persons that have appeared at our concerts are such names as the Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Woody Herman orchestras and smaller groups featuring Ken Peplowski, Harry Allen, Rossano Sportiello, Doc Grober and Johnny Varro.

Thanks to all of our 2023 season members and patrons

As we look forward to our 2024 season, we would like to give a big thank you to all who were part of our remarkable 2023 season supporting our mission to create greater awareness of jazz one of America’s great art forms. We are especially excited to announce that last year’s audience participation was the best in years, with an average of 100 attendees at each of our concerts. This would not have been possible without your support.

Also, in keeping with the long-standing Ash Andon scholarship commitment, The Treasure Coast Jazz Society was able to award Jax Trojanosky, Tanner Goulet and Jacob Longnecker each with $4,000 scholarships. Jax and Jacob are going to Indian River State College to major in music with bass and saxophone emphasis respectively, and Tanner to University of Central Florida to major in Jazz Studies.

Our 2024 Concert will continue at Oak Harbor Club which provides us with greater seating capacity, an award-winning chef, and a renowned dining experience, as well as access to the impressive sound and appearance of the Bosendorfer Concert Grand piano
