About the event
Benny Green is an American hard-bop jazz pianist who was a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. Benny has been compared to Bud Powell and Oscar Peterson in style and counts them as influences.
Born in New York in 1963, Benny Green grew up in Berkeley, California, and began classical piano studies at the age of seven. Influenced by his father, a tenor saxophonist, his attention soon turned to Jazz.
